The name says it all doesn’t it? Who doesn’t love DORITOS? I think they are a staple at our house. This Doritos Casserole is quick and easy to prepare for any busy week night dinner.
DORITOS CASSEROLE
2 lbs Lean Ground Beef, seasoned & cooked.
*I season my hamburger with garlic salt, onion powder, chili powder, cumin and chopped onions.
1 Cup Sour Cream
1 (14 oz) jar of Green Chili Salsa
1 bag of Doritos Nacho Cheese Chips
2 Cups of Shredded Cheese
*Additional toppings if desired: lettuce, tomatoes, onion, olives and salsa
In a large skillet over medium heat (after you have cooked the hamburger) add in the sour cream and green chili salsa.
Stir to mix well, simmer on low for a few minutes then remove from heat.
Preheat oven to 350.
First you will want to open the bag of Doritos, have a few and then crush the chips in the bag. Place a layer of crunched up Doritos in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Add the meat mixture, cheese and top with remaining Doritos. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and sprinkle with remaining cheese, bake for another 5 minutes. Now y’all are ready to EAT!
Serve just as it is or add in some toppings.
