I believe I have mentioned this before, however I feel I might need to say it again….MY FAMILY LOVES MEAT!
At the beginning of the week when I am planning out our menu for the week, I always ask my husband and daughter what they would like for me to cook. And every meal they want has some type of meat in it. So needless to say, even our pasta meals include meat. This Steak Strogenoff is so delicious and very filling.
STEAK STROGENOFF
2 lbs. Top Sirloin Steak, cut into chunks
4 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
1/2 Cup White Onion, Diced
1 (8oz) Button Mushrooms, sliced
1 Tablespoon Garlic, Minced
3 Tablespoon Flour
3 Tablespoon Butter
1 1/2 Cup Beef Broth
1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
2 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
16 oz. Egg Noodles- cooked and drained
Start by browning the steak in a skillet with the olive oil, onion and garlic.
Once cooked through, remove from heat. In the same skillet melt butter. Add in flour to make a roux and cook for 30 seconds before adding in the beef broth, whipping cream and sour cream. Stirring constantly until thickens.
Add in remaining ingredients along with browned steak. Simmer for 15-20 minutes. Serve over cooked egg noodles.
Give it a try and see if your a Steak Strogenoff Lover too!
