I finally found a few hours that I could get in the kitchen to make up a new recipe. While looking around the kitchen to see what ingredients I had on hand, my eye’s kept looking at the bunch of bananas getting ripe on the counter. Lightbulb!

This Quick & Easy Banana Bread will be your new go to recipe. It is moist and full of flavor.
Quick & Easy Banana Bread
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Shortening
2 Egg’s
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Cup Milk
1 Cup Mashed Ripe Bananas
*Optional~ 1/2 Cup Nuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Start by beating the sugar, shortening together for 1 minute. Add in egg’s and vanilla, beat again for 1 more minute.
Sift together salt and flour. Add to mixing bowl, mix for 2 minutes. In a separate bowl add the bananas, baking soda and milk
together. Let this set for 5 minutes. Finally add it to the creamed mixture, and mix for 1 minute. Divide batter evenly between to loaf pans than have been greased. Bake for 30 – 35 minutes or until center is baked through.
*You can also freeze this bread for up to 3 weeks.
