It’s been a minute since I have posted a new recipe. I can’t tell you just how much I have missed it. Being in the kitchen creating a new recipe is such a stress reliever to me. It almost takes away all the worries in my life. However just like everyone else I have stress, responsibilities, not enough hours in the day, work outside the home, laundry…oh the laundry! Menu’s to make, shopping to do, did I mention Laundry? Throw in a few health issues, and don’t forget the vehicle problems. It has been a little overwhelming these past few months. Now dont get me wrong, I am NOT here to tell you my dirty laundry laundry!) lol (see so much laundry!) Quite the opposite actually. I want to share the positive side of ALL I am blessed with.
I am the luckiest woman alive to have be married to my best friend. Matt my husband is such a hard worker for our family. He has never turned his back on going the extra mile to provide for us. He drove over 300 miles everyday for 17 years to work in order for our daughter to been raised in a small town. He has cleaned the bathrooms of our home for the last 21 years. He has taken on countless wood working projects to make sure we could go on a vacation or have a special Christmas. To this day when I am working crazy retail hours for my job, he is the one to step up. Most importantly he manages to make me laugh on a daily basis. He makes me feel special, and beautiful. He is my biggest fan and supporter. I am very blessed to have him.
I was double blessed the day my Daughter Jessica was born. I still shake my head wondering why she chose me to be her Momma. She was our Angel Baby , a pure miracle. From day one I knew she was going to be my only child. So I wanted to do everything I could for her. Boy was I a nervous Mom. Thank goodness my husband was the calm one. Jessica & I both needed him. Jessica is my LIGHT. She is so beautiful, smart, free thinking, funny and wears her heart on her sleeve. She has her fathers sense of humor. She helps me feel young. She gives me hope, and makes me believe in myself. She fits into our quirky family perfectly. She is one of my biggest fans and would do anything for me to follow my dreams. I am very blessed to have her.
I have been listing my blessings every night when I pray. And yet I know I am forgetting many. Have you every really thought out just how many blessings you get on a daily basis? I mean REALLY thought about it…. It is overwhelming! Any yet we (myself) seem to think of just a few if any . Lets get back to being thankful everyday for all the BIG & LITTLE BLESSINGS. Like one of my favorite “Star” Ellen DeGeneres says “BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER”. Give a smile to those who don’t have one. Even a silent hello is better than being ignored. Blessings are even better when given away.
So as I try and find more hours in the day, stress less, honor my responsibilities, and mow down that hill of laundry…. I will smile and count my blessings. Because those blessings keep coming!
Have a blessed day,
~ Lark
