When you’re craving homemade chocolate chip cookies yet you don’t want to stand over the oven
taking cookie sheets out of the oven every 10 minutes, this is the recipe for you! These Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are so yummy!
Not only are the easy to make, they are perfect for bake sales or to pack in a lunch or for a picnic. *You can change up the “chocolate chips” with every holiday by adding in milk chocolate M&M’s in the holiday colors instead of regular chips.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
1/2 Cup Butter
1/4 Cup Oil
1 Cup Sugar
1 cup Brown Sugar
2 Egg’s
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
2 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Vanilla
12 oz. Pkg Chocolate Chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a mixing bowl cream together the butter, oil , and both sugars until light. Add in eggs and mix for 1 minute. Sift together the salt, baking soda, baking powder and flour. Add to mixing bowl along with the vanilla. Mix into a smooth batter. Fold in chocolate chips.
Spread evenly into a parchment lined and greased 9×13 baking pan. Bake for 22-28 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
*Tip~ A simple way for you to keep your baked goods soft, is to place a slice of bread into the container with them.
