Looking for a “WOW” yet simple to make dessert? These Cherry Cream Cheese Danish’s are perfect for breakfast, brunch or dessert. I have even served them at bridal showers, baby showers, and weddings. Friends and families rave over them… if only they knew just how simple they were to make. 😉
These Cherry Cream Cheese Danish’s are not real sweet. So they really are a perfect for any time of the day you want to serve them. With just a few of ingredients, and only a 15 minute bake time, they can be ready to serve fast!
Cherry Cream Cheese Danish’s
(2) 8 oz. Croissants
(1) 8 oz. Cream Cheese
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 teaspoon Almond
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
(1) 15 oz. Cherry Pie Filling
Preheat oven to 350
In a mixing bowl cream together the cream cheese, vanilla and almond extract, sugar and cinnamon until smooth.
Open each croissant package DO NOT roll out. Keeping the dough in a “log” cut 8 pieces from each package. Starting in the center of each piece, flatten out into a disc shape. Continue doing this with all 16 pieces of dough. Line a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper that has been lightly sprayed with non stick cooking spray. Place each dough disk onto the sheet. Evenly divide and spread the cream cheese mixture onto each piece of dough. Top with a spoonful of cherry pie filling.
Bake for 13-15 minutes. Cool and then I like to dust with a little powdered sugar.
