These Sugared Cranberries, have got to be the easiest holiday treats you will make this season!
With only 3 ingredients, you will be making batches & batches of these Sugared Cranberries to give all your family and friends.
**So the next time your in Costco, stock up on those 3 lb. bags of fresh cranberries.
Sugared Cranberries
~Makes 3 Cup’s
1 (12 oz.) Fresh Cranberries, rinsed
3 Cups Syrup (Maple or any other flavor you desire. I love Pomegranate )
2-3 Cups Sugar
Start by making sure the cranberries have been rinsed. Place them into a large bowl, pour syrup over top of berries. Stir to make sure all the berries are coated. Cover and let chill over night. The next day you will drain the syrup from the berries. DO NOT RINSE. *You can still use the syrup for another batch, so make sure you reserve it in another bowl, when draining it.
Place sugar onto a baking sheet. I like to mix it up a little and add in some silver shimmering sugar.
Taking about a 1/2 Cup of berries at a time, roll them gently in the sugar covering completely.
Place Sugared Cranberries onto another sheet pan… no here is the MOST IMPORTANT STEP… do not let the cranberries touch. Because they are still “wet” if the are touching the sugar with start to dissolve where they are touching. We don’t want that.
An easy way to keep them separated is to place them on a wire cooling rack.
Let them air dry for a couple of hours. That is it! Super easy huh?
These sweet tart little gems wont last long, so make sure you save yourself some for later.
Have a SWEET Holiday, ~Lark
