There is nothing quite like entering a home and immediately being greeted my the sweet smell of homemade cookies baking in the oven. It brings such a feeling of warmth and welcome. These Gingerbread Cookies will fill your home with sweet spices as they bake. And with only 3 Ingredients, you can bake them up in a flash!
If you have little ones in your home, they are going to love cutting out shapes and decorating them up for someone special. One thing I love about these Gingerbread cookies are they are not to overly loaded with molasses.
*This recipe will make about 2 dozen small cookies. Feel free to double the recipe.
3 ~Ingredient Gingerbread Cookies
1 (15.25 oz.) Spice Cake Mix
1/2 Cup Butter, softened
1 Egg
* Icing,candy decorations, colored sugar
In a mixing bowl combine the butter and egg, bet until smooth. Add in cake mix, beat together for 1 minutes. Cover dough and chill for 30 minutes. Heat oven to 350 degree’s. Place dough onto a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to a 1/2 inch thickness.
Dip cookie cutters into flour, then cut out shapes. You can re-roll the dough out several times to make sure you get more cookies.
Place cut out gingerbread Cookies onto a parchment lined baking sheet that has been sprayed lightly with non~ stick Cooking spray. Bake for 8-10 minute. Let cookies cool completely on pan, before adding icing and candies.
