Every time you go shopping from now until the end of Summer, buy berries! Any variety you can get your hands on…then rinse them and place in a freezer bag to freeze. You can freeze berries for up to 1 year! What will you do with all these berries? Why making freezer jam of course! Freezer jam is the easiest jam to make. If Y’all haven’t made it before, you really should give it a try. I will show just how easy it is. *You can use any berries with this recipe.
4~Ingredient Strawberry Freezer Jam
4 Cups Fresh Strawberries, *crush to make 2 Cups
4 Cups Sugar
3/4 Cup Water
1 (1.75 oz.) Pectin
Place crushed berries into a bowl, add in sugar and stir well, set aside for a few minutes, In a sauce can bring the water and pectin to a boil for 1 minutes. Quickly pour pectin into the strawberry & sugar bowl. Stir until the pectin is blended well and sugar is dissolved. Pour into pint jars, or any container you can freeze. Make sure to leave a 1/4″ head space. Leave jam at room temperature for 24 hours. Then transfer to the freezer. *Freezer jam can be kept for 1 year.
When y’all cant wait any longer…. take a jar out of the freezer, let set for 10 minutes and spoon up some deliciousness.
