I love Mexican food! It is not uncommon for me to serve some type of Mexican dish at least once a week for dinner. We love anything from Taco’s to Enchilada’s. Needles to say taco seasoning was always one of the items I had on my grocery list. This past week I was prepping my dinner ahead of time by precooking taco meat, only to find that I was out of seasoning. So that is when I decided to make my own!
Can I just tell Y’all that I love MY taco seasoning even better than the store brand! I’m sure that many of you already have all the spices on hand in your cabinet. Give my recipe a try and see what you think.
Homemade Taco Seasoning
2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
1 Tablespoon Cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
Place all the spices into a food processor or spice grinder and pulse on high for 2 minutes, or until the spices are mixed well and powder consistency.
It’s that easy! Add desired amount to any of your favorite Mexican dishes.**You can store this in a jar for up to a month.
Looks like its Fiesta time,~ Lark
