They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. I would have to agree with that. Now if we could just figure out how to incorporate taste into a picture, Right? This flavorful homemade syrup is going to make your life a lot happier. With Berry Season just around the corner, you are going to find that this syrup can easily be turned into any of your favorite berry syrup. My favorite combination so far has been Strawberry Coconut. *Keep your eye’s out for that recipe, I promise to be sharing with Y’all in the coming weeks.* As you can see, this syrup is great as an ice cream topping as well as a breakfast syrup. I have even used this syrup as a “filling” for a Poke Cake. DELICIOUS no matter how you choose to serve it.
3 Ingredient Strawberry Syrup
2 Cups Water
2 Cups Sugar
4 Cups Fresh Strawberries, stemmed, pureed
Pour sugar and water into a saucepan, stirring over medium heat until all the sugar is dissolved. Pour in the pureed strawberries, constantly stirring bring mixture to a full boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat ans let stand for 15-20 minutes to cool. If you desire, you can then pour mixture through a mesh strainer, to remove seeds. Pour syrup into jars and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
