In our Small town the month of May= BAKE SALE! What does every bake sale have? CUPCAKES!!! When creating this recipe I wanted to capture the taste and smell of Cinnamon Toast. Uhmmm, yeah I am pretty confidant in saying …that I nailed it! 🙂
The cinnamon flavored cake, topped with a cream cheese cinnamon sugar frosting is sure to be a hit with everyone. These cupcakes are moist and light, just like cinnamon toast.
Cinnamon Toast Cupcakes
1 Box White Cake Mix
3 Eggs
1 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
1/4 Cup Oil
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
*Cream Cheese Frosting mix with: 4 TBSP Sugar +1 tsp. Cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350
In a mixing bowl combine all ingredients until well blended. Fill lightly sprayed muffin liners 3/4 of the way full. Bake for 15-18 minutes. Remove baked cupcakes from tin immediately, let cool on wire rack completely before frosting. *For the frosting, use your favorite Cream cheese frosting recipe or you can even use store bought. Mix in 4 TBSP Sugar and 1 tsp. Cinnamon, mix well. Spread evenly over cupcakes. Sprinkle tops with cinn/sugar. ~ENJOY, Lark
