Margarita Pizza is one of my all time favorite pizza’s. Which is strange because I love pizza sauce, which is something this pizza does not have! However the flavor of olive oil and garlic makes up the difference. Give it a try, I promise this pizza will NOT disappoint!
DOUGH
1 pkg. Dry Active Yeast~ I use Red Star Yeast
1 tsp. Sugar
1 Cup Warm Water
2 1/2 Cups Bread Flour
2 TBSP. Olive Oil
1 tsp. Salt
Margarita Pizza
1-2 Fresh Roma Tomatoes~ sliced
1/2 Cup Chopped Fresh Basil
2 TBSP Garlic~ minced
3 TBSP. Olive Oil
1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Start with making the dough, in a small bowl dissolve the yeast and sugar into the warm water and let rest for 10 minutes. In mixing bowl combine the bread flour, oil and salt, plus the yeast mixture. Using a bread dough hook, mix until all ingredients are incorporated. Cover and let dough rest for 15 minutes. Lightly spray a 12″ inch round pizza pan, sprinkle with 1 TBSP of cornmeal. Press dough into pan with fingers evenly. Using a pastry brush, spread olive oil over the dough. Then sprinkle minced garlic over top. Place into a 450 degree oven to prebake the crust for 5 minutes. Remove from oven to layer on toppings: chopped basil, half of the mozzarella, tomatoes, and top with remaining mozzarella cheese. Return to oven and bake for another 15 minutes. Serve hot.
DELISH!~ Lark
