Happy Valentines Day! At our home, we tend to celebrate this day with a homemade treat. Every year I make sure to set aside some time to make a treat that I would consider special for my husband and daughter. This Chocolate Mousse is sinfully EASY to make plus taste’s DIVINE! I promise you will get the love, by serving this up to your loved ones tonight.
Heavenly Chocolate Mousse
1 (1oz.) Envelope Unflavored Gelatin
2 TBSP. Cold Water
4 TBSP. Hot Water
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream ~ cold
2 tsp. Vanilla
*Toppings~ Toffee Pieces, Mini Chocolate Chips
In a small bowl combine the gelatin with the 2 TBSP cold water, let set for 1 minute.
Then Add in the 4 TBSP of Hot water, stir to make sure the gelatin has dissolved.
In your mixing bowl combine the sugar, cocoa, vanilla and whipping cream. Beat on high until forms stiff peaks. (about 5 minutes) Then lower speed to medium and slowly pour in the gelatin water. Once the gelatin has been incorporated turn speed back up to high for another minute. **If you are wanting to serve this up as individual servings, you need to dish the mousse into the individual dishes now, so it can set up in the dishes. Sprinkle with any toppings you desire, let chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
The magic ingredient is LOVE 😉 ~ Lark
