Craving Homemade Pizza, and just don’t have the time to make an in depth dough recipe? Well it is your lucky day! Today I am sharing with y’all my favorite “go to” pizza dough recipe. Don’t be fooled into thinking that just because it takes less time it has less taste. This dough is great tasting. I like to also make garlic/cheese breadsticks using this dough.
DOUGH
1 pkg. Dry Active Yeast~ I use Red Star Yeast
1 tsp. Sugar
1 Cup Warm Water
2 1/2 Cups Bread Flour
2 TBSP. Olive Oil
1 tsp. Salt
Preheat oven to 450
Start with making the dough, in a small bowl dissolve the yeast and sugar into the warm water and let rest for 10 minutes. In mixing bowl combine the bread flour, oil and salt, plus the yeast mixture. Using a bread dough hook, mix until all ingredients are incorporated. Cover and let dough rest for 15 minutes. Lightly spray a 12″ inch round pizza pan, sprinkle with 1 TBSP of cornmeal. Press dough into pan with fingers evenly. Using a pastry brush, spread olive oil over the dough. Top with your favorite Pizza Sauce and toppings.
ENJOY~ Lark
