I am sharing an ALL American Apple Crisp
Today is a day I celebrate my Freedom.
Today I am Proud to be American.
Today I am thankful for ALL our Service Men and Woman.
Today is about Freedom, Faith, Family and Friends.
1 C. Flour
3/4 C. Quick Oats
1 C. Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 C. Margarine, softened
3 Lg. Tart Apples, peeled and sliced thin.
1/2 C. Brown Sugar
1/2 C. Sugar
2 TBSP. Corn Starch
1 C. Water
1 tsp. Vanilla
Mix together the first 5 ingredients until you have course crumbs.
Press 1/2 Crumbs into a lightly sprayed 9 inch baking dish. Then place thin sliced apple in rows over top. Set aside while you mix the rest of the ingredient’s in a sauce pan. Cook on Med. heat until thickens. Pour over apples. Top with the remaining half of the crumbs.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
Tastes great warm or cooled.
